A Fresh Take on a Closing Party
A historical building, recently renovated made it a fresh choice for our client’s closing dinner party. Located close to the venue hosting their National Sales Meeting, it was the perfect location for the event.
The theme of the event focused on the Winter Olympics in a ‘winter wonderland’ setting – created indoors!
The walk to the main doors was illuminated with ice orbs and candles.
Guests were greeted with a signature “Iceberg” cocktail.
The room was up-lit with blue and white lights while falling snowflakes were projected onto the walls.
The entrance level’s main attraction was a full size skating rink complete with skate rentals, gourmet hot chocolate station, and maple syrup on ice served with artisanal Canadian cheeses.
To encourage participation and create immediate excitement, Olympic medalist, Elizabeth Manley donned her skates to teach guests a few tricks.
A snowboard simulator, alpine ski arcade games, electronic hockey nets and Wii Olympic games projected on large LCD screens, allowed this very active group to show off their athletic skills.
A full size ice carving of an alpine skier with a “cut out” for the face allowed guests to have their photo taken with Olympic medalist, Jennifer Heil, who also signed autographs.
Over on the dance floor, even the DJ booth was carved in ice.
The mezzanine level housed various themed food stations; some with seating and bar service.
As guests departed, they were given a pair of Olympic mittens adorned with a snowflake that reinforced key messaging for the upcoming year.
This closing party had it all. Energy, action, fun and a fresh take on a Winter Olympic theme that put attendees in the middle of the excitement at every turn.
A Partner Sponsored Recognition Event
This national awards dinner was designed to recognize sales achievement within a franchisee organization.
The Wright Solution designed and executed the event for 400 attendees and was able to double the amount of sponsorship from the previous year’s event.
The event sponsor was our client’s vendor/distributor and their main product is pet food. They had recently launched a new product called “FRESH”.
Our proposal was a ‘Farm to Table’ harvest concept.
Guests were seated at harvest tables adorned with burlap runners, fresh tulips in galvanized buckets and mason jars of grains and rice that held tea lights.
Even the sponsor’s product packaging was tastefully incorporated to indicate table numbers.
Upon being seated, guests found a personalized cookie, shaped like a dog bone, at each place setting.
Each table had a wood framed chalkboard that outlined the special menu for the evening created by chefs inspired by fresh and local ingredients.
Several vignettes were created with old wine barrels, crates and vegetables to fulfill the environment. A roadside market stand with lanterns was built to hold tempting fresh fruit.
So how do we know this was the Wright solution?
The sponsor and our client were overwhelmed with emotion when they walked in the room. They were so impressed that the sponsor committed on the spot for the following year.
Brand Sessions Brought to Life
When asked to incorporate a client’s brands into the theme of “History”, TWS came up with a unique solution that literally brought history to life for attendees of educational sessions.
Our client had well known brands but needed to establish them within their own client’s theme while making educational sessions more informative and interactive.
The Wright solution equated each brand with a historical character. We related personal data, famous quotes and the image and style of a historical character to each brand personality.
A good idea brought to life on a tight budget, we wrote, designed and produced a banner for each product that brought history, fun and focus to each brand.
We also rented period costumes for each Brand Manager, which literally brought their character to life, creating highly engaging sessions.
A Product Launch as Unique as the Product
Strategy played a key role in designing this product launch in Orlando, Florida.
With the theme of ‘Precision’ we linked the new product’s mechanism of action with the precision and accuracy of a NASA astronaut.
For the launch session, we wanted the meeting room to be as unique as the new product, with décor that would bring our theme to life and a dynamic and relevant guest speaker.
TWS sourced a retired astronaut – and medical doctor – who beautifully correlated this new biotech medicine with his time in space.
To tie it all together, we took participants to the Kennedy Space Centre for a unique team building exercise where they built and launched rockets with provided materials.
This was followed by dinner at The Centre amidst various NASA spacecraft complete with fun interactive activities that took this launch to new heights.
A Franchisee Event That Needed Transparency
A client supplied theme that could have been taken positively or negatively, depending on the audience’s filters, provided an unusual challenge for TWS.
With hundreds of franchisees gathering for the National Conference, the company -supplied theme was at the same time transparent and risky. “We’re Still Standing” spoke honestly about dwindling markets and heavy competition and this audience needed to hear it “like it is.” This was the only way to empower them to do what needed to be done with vigor and urgency.
TWS was able to take this theme and turn it into a commitment to act.
Starting pre-conference, each attendee was asked to finish the statement, “We’re still standing and…” At walk-in to the opening session of their conference, the attendee’s answers were displayed in a custom animation onscreen to inspire and rally the team. Their words of determination, action and positivity were proudly displayed for all to embrace.
To create a feeling of new beginnings and rebirth all décor had a bright and colourful Spring feeling, with over 300 flowering plants that brought the outdoors inside.
Activities were designed to create pride in the brand and strengthen and empower the team in difficult times. We celebrated successes, focused on the plan and created team bonding opportunities and experiences. This gave the team the determination to never give up and to be successful.
At the close, a large 16’ x 3’ banner allowed participants to add their personal commitment for the year ahead and see the collective power of the team.
